LEADERS IN TRAINING (LITS)

For the 2009-2010 Club Year, LITs will meet together with the LIT Director from
6-6:20pm on Monday nights (right before club starts).

The LIT program at Frisco Bible Church is for Clubbers who have previously been enrolled in AWANA at
Frisco Bible Church that wish to continue in the program as they work towards their Meritorious and
Citation Awards and College Scholarships.
Frisco Bible Church neither currently has nor foresees having a
full-blown Trek or Journey program but feels strongly about offering a way for Clubbers to attend the same
AWANA program as their siblings, continue their book work, and serve the church as an LIT.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE

towards their Merit and Citation Awards.

SPECIAL AWARDS

  • Excellence Award - To earn the Excellence Award, a boy or girl must complete two handbooks or
manuals from T&T, Trek or Journey 24-7 and either have completed or about to complete fourth grade.
  • Timothy Award - To earn the Timothy trophy, a boy or girl must complete four handbooks or manuals
from T&T, Trek and/or Journey 24-7 and have completed or be on the verge of completing sixth grade.
  • Meritorious Award - To earn the Meritorious trophy, a boy or girl must complete six handbooks or
manuals from T&T, Trek and/or Journey 24-7 and either have completed or about to complete eighth
    grade.
  • Citation Award - For young people involved in 24-7, earning the Citation Award is the ultimate
achievement. It represents a minimum of 10 years worth of hard work and service. The Citation is their
reward for having spent countless hours attending group meetings, working with children, getting
involved in their communities, completing 10 years of biblically grounded curriculum and learning
    more than 700 Bible verses.
  • The Citation Award is more than just a plaque for your wall – it's the memories, the
accomplishment and internalized Scripture. That's a lot to take with you. And you will take it with
you. Some of you will become pastors, some missionaries, Bible scholars, moms and dads,
business leaders, musicians, law enforcement and military personnel, athletes, artists and
    who knows what else.
  • But, even more than that, you are on a road that is being divinely directed. And the Lord will use
your faithful work, your years of effort and the desire to serve Him – no matter where you end up
    in this world.
  • Every year we see an increasing number of people who have dedicated themselves to
memorizing Scripture, serving the Church and community and walking with the Lord. The
growth in the volume of Citation achievers each year is a reminder that God is actively at work in
our world, changing lives and raising up young people who will carry His message of grace to
a world that needs to hear.
  • Citation achievement can also pay off in the form of college scholarships. Many Christian
colleges offer financial incentives to Citation Award achievers. .
