| SPARKS OVERVIEW INTRODUCTION/GATE TEST Similar to our Cubbie Bear Hug Brochure, the Gate Test is the first and only (introduction) booklet received in Sparks. Upon completion of this Entrance Test the clubber receives a Sparks Membership Card and receives their first of 3 Handbooks available in Sparks. HANDBOOKS and REVIEW Sparks has 3 Handbooks (unlike Cubbies with only 2) used in their club: Hang Glider, Hiker, Climber. The following sequence of completion for each grade is as follows:
Regardless of the age of the child, each clubber will start in the Skipper Handbook. Each Handbook consists of: (* Review consists of going through the Handbook a 2nd time and then completing Review Island) Rank & Bible Drills are to be completed in order, but Crafts can be completed in any order desired for Hiker and Climber. Hang Glider jewels must be completed in order. Completion of Handbooks are Awarded accordingly: ADVANCEMENT First & Second Graders will advance into Hiker after completion of the Hang Glider Handbook. And Second Graders will advance into Climber after completion of the Hiker Handbook. If a clubber completes both Handbook & Review requirements before the end of the club year, there is a Workbook available for each Handbook level. Completion of Workbooks will earn the clubber a Pin Award to be displayed on his/her Review Patch. |
